Coach Bailey Davis is entering her second season as head cheer and dance coach at York College. When she was a Panther, Davis cheered on the Panthers during the 2013-2015 seasons under Katie (Kynion) Ramos and Lindsey Eckert, as well as was involved in several other activities accross campus in her three years as a YC student. Coach Davis graduated in 2015 with a degree in Speech Theory Communications and has served in the concurrent role of Admissions Recruiter since the fall of 2016.
The 2017-2018 season will be the first season in program history to be declared a varsity sport under the York College athletic program. Davis is attributed to help make this change possible and working to build a positive reputation for York College in the KCAC and NAIA as competitive cheer and dance progress in many other institutions across the United States.
Coach Davis is a native to Council Bluffs, IA and is the daughter of Troy and Caronna Kinney. Her father, Troy, is an alumni ('86). Davis attributes the growth in this program to her athletes past and present and siblings, Jordan (Ford), Madison, Taylor and Thad, who have pushed and encouraged her along this journey.
Davis is the proud wife to Joe Davis of Bakersfield, CA. Joe works as the Assistant Director of Forensics and Debate at Concordia University in Seward, NE and is attributed to building the current largest competitive speech program in Nebraska. He is also a YC alumni ('15) holding Bachelor's degrees in both Speech Theory Communications and Business Communication, as well as a graduate of Concordia University holding a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing. Joe is currently attempting a Master's degree in Stratgic Communications from California Baptist University Online. Both Bailey and Joe have made York their home and they share it with their two dogs, Daphne and Dodger.
