Lawrence, KAN. - Ian Meek (FR/Montrose, Colo) continued his stellar running as he finished second overall and helped the team take home a third place finish on Saturday afternoon. Hailey Stigger (SO/Liberty, Mo) led the way for the women's team.
Meek ran the 8k race in 26:33, over 15 seconds ahead of third place. Steve Lagat (JR/Kenya) was the next Panther to cross the finish line, a 14th place finish in 28:14. Levi Swenson (SR/Benkelman, Neb), 28:30, finished in 20th. Caleb Magner (SR/York, Neb) and Logan Kaliff (SO/York, Neb) were the other runners to score for the Panthers finishing in 24th and 27th, respectively.
On the women's side Stigger finished in 62nd place with a time of 22:51. Hannah Rohda (SO/Omaha, Neb) was right behind her in 65th place, followed by Madeleine Martinez (SO/San Antonio, Texas) in 67th. Mataia Hess (SO/McCool Junction, Neb) and Nyalat Buom (SO/Lincoln, Neb) rounded things out for the Panthers in their 11th place finish as a team.
