Pittsburg, Kan - The Lady Panthers had several personal records break over the weekend at the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. York finished in ninth place scoring 20.5 points.
Ashley Dugan (JR/Spring Hill, Fla) and Camery Nielsen (JR/Bradshaw, Neb) were the top individuals for the Panthers with Dugan placing fourth in the long jump, followed by Nielsen placing sixth. Nielsen also garnered a personal best in the long jump eclipsing the 5 meter mark for the first time ever.
Nielsen also finished in fourth place in the high jump with a jump of 1.47 meters. She finished in seventh in the 60 meter hurdles recording a personal record of 9.77.
Dugan finished in eighth place in the triple jump with a distance of 10.06 meters.
The women's team also broke two school records in their relay events. The 4x400 relay consisting of Darrien Gomez (SO/Cozad, Neb), Dugan, Hailey Stigger (FR/Liberty, Mo), and Hannah Rohda (FR/Omaha, Neb), finished in seventh place with a time of 4:22.04, breaking the previous record.
The women's Distance Medley Relay of Ariel Warrior (JR/Boys Ranch, Texas), Sabrina Austin (JR/Morrill, Neb), Hailey Stigger, and Madeleine Martinez (FR/San Antonio, Texas), also broke the previous record by running the event in 14:13.44 for a sixth place finish.
Rohda and Austin each came home with personal records in the 200 meter dash. Rohda posted a time of 27.95 and Austin was just behind her with a time of 28.25. Gomez ran a personal record 1:05.55 in the 400 meter dash.
