Hawkins, Texas - After splitting day one the Panthers made sure to come away with two more wins Saturday afternoon as they piled up runs in their 17-5 and 5-3 wins.

Game 1
Tim Emory (SR/San Jose, Calif) pitched a gem of a game and had plenty of run support to go with it. Emory gave up just one run over just four and two-thirds innings, while striking out six batters. He gave up just three hits on the day.

York scored 17 runs on 13 hits in just seven innings of play. The Panthers were led by Billy Johnson (SR/Oakland, Calif), Connor Towle (SO/Keller, Texas), Josh Roman (SR/Newark, Calif), and DB Vidal (SO/Livermore, Calif) who each garnered two hits a piece. Roman's two hits were both doubles to go along with his two from the previous day. Vidal earned the first triple of the day for the Panthers and Isaiah Bond (JR/Union City, Calif) hit his first Panther home run.

Game 2
Jaraad Salas (SR/Ewa Beach, Hawaii) started game four of the series but was relieved before he could pick up the win due to a high pitch count. Billy Damon (JR/Reno, Nev) came in in relief and picked up the win for the Panthers. Salas allowed just one hit while he struck out four batters, but also walked four. Both pitchers allowed just one earned run in their season debuts.

Billy Johnson was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate as he collected two doubles and a triple. Connor Towle and DB Vidal were the only other Panthers to get base hits. Timmion Hughes (SR/Vallejo, Calif) earned two more stolen bases to put his season total at five.

The game was called after six innings of play due to darkness.

With the series win the Panthers are 3-1 on the season. York will travel to Oklahoma City this weekend. The Panthers will play Oklahoma City University in a double header on Friday, followed by a double header against Avila on Saturday.
