YORK - Mikala Wilson (SO/Oklahoma City, OK) scored a team high 14 points on Monday night but it wasn't enough as the Panthers fell 69-51 to the visiting Sterling College Warriors. York's defense pushed hard and forced 25 turnovers but were unable to capitalize on the offensive side as they shot just 31% from the field.
After a tough first quarter, where the Panthers only scored six points, York held strong and kept things interesting for the Warriors.
Wilson added eight rebounds to her stat sheet, while Jerraysha Smith (FR/Alamogordo, NM) neared the double-double mark with seven points and nine rebounds. Greer Kleber (SR/Walnut Creek, CA) added eight points of her own.
The Panthers will host Kansas Wesleyan on Thursday night at 6 p.m. in the Freeman Center.
