WICHITA, Kan. - The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2016 All-KCAC teams and three Panthers found their names listed on the Honorable Mention team.
Head Coach Erin Freeman said, "with the tough season that we had, the fact that we had three receive all-conference honors speaks volumes to the work ethic of our program as a whole. Jolene stepped into a larger role after Alyssa Didier (SR/Littleton, Colo) was sidelined with an injury, and worked hard to give our attackers good opportunities, leading our offense from both the back and front row, which was a new role for her. Molly is an exceptional young player who will continue to grow over the next several years. Her passion for the game and her teammates is radiant and she will be a leader in the future. Her heavy arm swing and strong net presence were vital to our offense this season. Kylie has been a leader from the moment she stepped into our gym last year. Her love for the game, to compete, and her heart for her teammates will be her legacy. Athletically, Kylie was an incredible asset as her versatility enabled her to contribute from several different positions in the front row and her blocking strength was often our first line of defense; she is well-rounded and also contributed from the back row. Celebrating these three is special and I am proud of the perseverance of all of the girls!"
Herzog led the team with 703 assists and 45 service aces. Wroot had the teams highest hitting percentage with a .155 as she collected 208 kills. She also added nine solo blocks and 73 assisted blocks, and finished second on the team with 326 digs. Little connected on 234 attacks ending in kills with a .152 hitting percentage. She also had nine solo blocks, along with 28 assisted blocks.
