YORK - After the rain postponed Friday's dual between York and Doane University's second team, both were back out on the course Monday afternoon. Tyler Hartsell (FR/Ardmore, Okla) found his groove as he led the Panthers with a 77 on the par-70 course, as York held onto the 12 stroke victory. Cody Pitman (FR/Omaha, Neb) shot a 79. Cooper Herrell (SO/Lubbock, Texas) shot an 80, Brady Dunagan (JR/Nixa, Mo) shot 81, and Jaxon Clouse (SO/York, Neb) finished with 85.
The overall score was 317-329 in favor of York. It was the first time in collegiate competition that Hartsell and Pitman shot in the 70's.
York will be back in action on Tuesday when they head to Lincoln to participate in the Doane Invite.
